To perform a self-loving massage each area should be massaged well for at least 5 minutes using smooth and firm movements. This way a full body massage should take approx 20 minutes.
Begin with the extremities, you can start with your head, neck, shoulders, and arms, or your toes, ankles, calves, and feet. Finish the extremities and move into the center of your body for your chest, back and stomach.
When performing a self-massage we recommend using long up-down strokes on the limbs and circular strokes on the joints.
A continuous pulling stroke is used for fingers and toes. Circular strokes are usually done only clockwise.
The oil is kept in a miron (violet) glass bottle that can be traced back to ancient Egypt where valuable essences (oils) and natural healing products were kept either in gold or in violet glass vessels. The belief was that products stored in violet glass would be solar-enriched, and their energy preserved.
Miron glass only allows ultraviolet (UV) and infrared light to penetrate. In the Daoist and Yogic traditions, violet light is thought to express the highest vibrational frequency of all the colours (720 – 770 billion Hertz), corresponding precisely to the vibration frequency of our central nervous system.
